This menu provides functions for controlling the graphical presentation of the structure in the graphic window of the GUI.

Menu item Description
Automatic Redraw Views are not redrawn when the application window changes in size or position if this option is not ticked.
Restore Last Layout Previously used graphics layout is restored
Manage Colour Profiles Color profiles for graphic presentation are adapted to users needs.
Default Colour Profiles One of the 4 profiles can be set as default. Profiles are: Black Background, Gray Background, White Background and User-defined.
View Colour Profiles Selecting one of the default color profiles for presentation
Perspective View Toggle between perspective and parallel projection.  If perspective view is on, the distance takes effect.
View Directions Selecting one of the default view directions for presentation Default view directions are: Top, North, South, East, West, Default 3D. Arbitrary directions can be selected in View Options or with the compass at the lower right corner.
Distance For perspective view. The distance is measured in viewing direction as specified in View directions to the center point of the model.  One of 4 distances can be selected: 100 m, 500 m, 1000 m and 2000 m
Draw Background Image The specified picture will be displayed as background of the window.
Draw Axes Road axes will be displayed in addition to the structure
View Nodes Switch on or off the presentation of nodes  (for all structural objects presentation parameters as set in "View Options")
View Elements Switch on or off the presentation of structural elements
View CS Switch on or off the presentation of cross-section geometry. Cross-sections may be viewed as "Simplified cross-section", "Filled cross-section" or "Cross-section mesh"
View Bodies

Switch on or off the presentation of FEM bodies. Element bodies may be viewed as "Simplified Bodies", "Body Outline", "Inner Outline", "Detailed Bodies".

View Tendons Switch on or off the presentation of prestressing tendons.
Active System

Depending on activation status and orientation in space, elements may be filtered as follows:

  • Draw All
  • Draw Active System
  • Draw Non-Active System
  • Draw Deck Elements
  • Draw Pier Elements
Standard Layout Reload the standard layout (Default 3D view, Black background etc.)
Load Complete Layout Reload a previously saved presentation layout
Save Complete Layout Save the current layout under a certain name allowing for reloading it at a later time.
Draw traffic (options) Options to add a train position, lane scale or train scale for a certain lane + train combination
Simultaneous mode View display in main window get updated automatically by clicking on any View options.

The items are options which can alternatively be set in the context menu "View options" displayed on clicking with the right mouse button into the active graphics window and selecting View Options. Most of the options are immediately applied when selected. Some of them become active with the next subsequent drawing action. All functions relate the the currently active graphics window marked by   a small square in the lower left corner.

Note: Cross section properties must have been calculated with Recalc > Cross-section Calculation prior to viewing element cross-sections and element bodies.
